Getting in touch
The Free Flight Physiology Project is a small, largely self-funded research collaboration, and general enquiries reach us through this website. We are always glad to hear from pilots, clubs, instructors and researchers.
What we are happy to hear about
- Taking part in a study. We are regularly looking for pilots willing to fly instrumented, and for clubs willing to host a test day.
- Research collaboration. Physiology, human factors, aviation medicine, sports engineering and data science all have a place in this work.
- Course enquiries. Questions about our extreme sports first aid and trauma management course, or about running one for your club or school.
- Feedback and corrections. If you think we have got something wrong, or you have data that contradicts ours, we would genuinely like to know.
- Incident reports. Anonymised accounts of accidents and near misses are one of the most useful things a pilot can share with us.
Before writing, it is worth checking the publications and podcasts page and the key skills pages — many of the questions we are asked most often are answered there in more detail than an email reply could manage.
